TAB Work (Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing)
The purpose of testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) is to assure that the HVAC system is providing maximum occupant comfort at the lowest-energy cost possible.
Air Balancing
Air system testing and adjustment to meet design objectives including electrical measurement and quanitive performance testing for all equipment. This service includes recording and reporting of all air quantity measurements with actual results versus design performance.
Chilled water balancing
The aim of chilled water balancing is to apply a disciplined procedure of adjustment to water flow rates throughout the chw system to meet the particular requirements of the design.
HVAC Commissioning
The process of confirming a complete HVAC installation and operation from the owner’s project requirements through the actual operation and the design intent. This service includes verification of automatic temperature control operation and assistance with owner training.
Duct Leak Testing
Testing of duct systems to verify actual duct leakage rates are within acceptable tolerances based on SMACNA duct leak test manual in addition to design documents for a particular project.
Fume Hood Testing
Service includes verification of face velocity measurement, alarm calibration and any exhaust fan adjustments required.
